Privacy policy
This policy describes what information Pottedmuse collects when you visit pottedmuse.com or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep this short and in plain English.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
When you order: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (for the carrier), and the items you bought. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never stored on our servers.
When you browse: standard technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages and products you view, items you add to your cart, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
When you contact us: the content of your emails, chat messages or calls and any photos you send for a damage claim.
How we use it
To process and deliver your order, send order and shipping confirmations, answer your questions, screen orders for fraud, measure and improve our website and advertising, and — only if you have opted in — send occasional emails about new products. We also use aggregated browsing data to understand which pages work and which don't.
Who we share it with
Service providers that we need to run the store: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfilment partners, our customer-service chat provider (QuickCEP), and email service providers. Each receives only what it needs for its job.
Advertising and analytics partners. We use pixels and similar technologies from advertising and analytics companies to measure how our ads perform and to show ads for our products on other websites and apps. These partners currently include Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Merchant Center), AppLovin, and MediaGo. They may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, the pages and products you view, and purchases you make on our site, and they act as independent data collectors under their own privacy policies. We do not give these partners your name, email address or postal address except in hashed form for ad measurement.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Cookies and pixels
We use essential cookies to keep your cart working, analytics cookies to measure site performance, and advertising pixels as described above. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of advertising pixels using the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of our website; the store will still function.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years). Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for 2 years.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. To exercise any right, email service@pottedmuse.com.
California and other U.S. state residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the use of advertising pixels described above may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt out. You can do so at any time by clicking Your Privacy Choices in the footer of our website, by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, or by emailing us. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other states with privacy laws have similar rights to opt out of targeted advertising and may use the same methods. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, for material changes, notify you by email if we have your address.
